At the Juncture of the Seasons: treating bacteria with THYME

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 by Cristina

Bacteria is a condition that loves acidity, and lives in the organs.  A FEVER is the body’s defense mechanism to kill bacteria.

The strongest natural anti-bacterial agent is THYME. Thyme will kill bacteria. Simply drink THYME TEA to flush bacteria from your system. Alternatively, you can BATHE with THYME. The skin is the body’s largest digestive organ, and will absorb the antibacterial properties of thyme right through the pores. A thyme bath is just as effective as drinking tea.

Chamomile Flowers

Chamomile Flowers

According to Ayurveda, our bodies are vulnerable to imbalance and illness at the junctures of the seasons.. which is now.

Do you have a stubborn cold? The common cold is a virus. Medicinal teas flush the body of toxins, and will quicken your recovery.

Viruses live in your skin, bone & connective tissues. Symptoms of a virus: rashes & hives, mucus, swelling.

Anti-Viral Herbs: Lemon Balm, Thyme, Chamomile, Sarsaparilla, & Lemon. **DRINK or BATHE in these MEDICINAL TEAS**

Salubrious tidbits from the chef

grapesRED GRAPES boost the function of the spleen. I like to call them “spleen balls”.

Oddly enough, green grapes contain very small amounts of enzymes, and are not medicinal- so stick to red, purple, and the darker varieties.

Isn’t it interesting that red grapes are the same shape & color as red blood cells, and all the while, the grapes boost the function of the very organ that cleans and makes new cells?

Did you know that every bit of blood in your system circulates through the SPLEEN?  It’s job is to remove old red blood cells and to clean blood debris.  (That pain in your side when you run too fast is an indication that there is a buildup of toxins in the spleen, and it is getting overworked.)

Can you guess which FRUIT boosts the function of the spleen?

I’ll post the answer tomorrow.  Remember, you are what you eat- so choose organic!

If you have a microwave oven, get rid of it!  Microwaves cause cellular degeneration, and ultimately creates cancer.

Microwaves heat food by friction, with short waves of alternating currents of electromagnetic energy.  This causes the nucleus of the cells in the food to implode.  This creates free radical carcinogens, or mutated molecules, with free floating electrons. When these free radicals are ingested, they become easy targets for viruses, fungi, and other microorganisms. This is overwhelming to the body’s immune system, and will have an array of negative effects on your health.

There is nothing ‘convenient’ about disease promoting, carcinogenic particles in our bodies!

Pineapple Near and FarPINEAPPLES contain vitamin K, and produce coagulation factors in blood plasma.

If anyone you know is having surgery soon, encourage them to eat lots of pineapple in advance. It also helps excessive menstrual flow.

Do you have a microwave oven?  Get rid of it today! I will explain why tomorrow.

And remember: “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food”- Hippocrates, sharing some Kitchen Wisdom. Classes start July 9!  Scroll down for details.
